Paintless Dent Repair (PDR)
Paintless dent repair is a specialized method of removing dents and dings without sanding, body filler or repainting. Using precise tools and techniques, our technicians reshape the damaged panel while preserving the vehicle’s original factory finish.
Our technicians carefully access the damaged area and use specialized tools to gradually return the metal to its original shape. Depending on the location of the dent, the repair may be performed from behind the panel or from the exterior using professional glue-pulling techniques.
PDR can often repair door dings, parking lot dents, hail damage, shallow creases and certain minor-collision dents. It works best when the vehicle’s paint is still intact and the metal has not been severely stretched or damaged.
No. The size, depth and location of the dent, the condition of the paint and access to the damaged area all affect whether PDR is appropriate. Dents with cracked paint, severe metal stretching or extensive collision damage may require traditional body repair.
Yes. Preserving the original factory paint is one of the primary benefits of PDR. When the paint is undamaged and the dent is a good candidate for this process, no sanding, filling or repainting is required.

Yes. Our technicians can perform PDR on both aluminum and steel panels. Because the two materials respond differently during repair, each panel must be evaluated individually to determine the best approach.
No. Dent Menders is now focused exclusively on paintless dent repair and hail damage repair. If your vehicle needs conventional bodywork or repainting, we’ll explain why PDR is not appropriate so you can determine the next step.
Estimates & Appointments
Yes. Dent Menders provides free, in-person estimates. We’ll inspect the damage, explain whether PDR is a good option and provide an honest repair recommendation.
Accurately evaluating a dent requires viewing it from different angles and under specialized lighting. We also need to assess the paint, depth of the damage, panel material, metal stretching and accessibility before determining the repair method, price and expected result.
Photos may provide a general idea of the damage, but they rarely show everything needed for an accurate estimate. Because dents can look very different in person, Dent Menders provides final estimates only after inspecting the vehicle at our shop.
An appointment is not required for an estimate, but scheduling ahead can help reduce your wait and ensure a technician is available. Repair appointments are recommended once you decide to move forward.
Yes. Walk-ins are welcome during regular business hours. If the shop is especially busy, we may ask you to schedule a time for a more detailed inspection or repair.
Yes. We provide free, same-day estimates during regular business hours. The inspection itself is typically quick, although wait times may vary depending on how busy the shop is.
Many smaller PDR repairs can be completed the same day. The actual turnaround time depends on the number, size and location of the dents, the accessibility of the damaged panels and the shop schedule. We’ll provide a more accurate timeframe after inspecting your vehicle.
No. Dent Menders does not currently offer vehicle pickup or delivery. Vehicles must be brought to and picked up from our shop at 5722 S 144th Street in Omaha.
Hail Damage & Insurance
Insurance companies handle hail claims differently. We recommend contacting your insurer to ask whether they want you to file a claim before receiving an estimate or obtain an estimate first. You may also contact Dent Menders if you need help understanding what to do next.
Yes. Dent Menders works with all insurance companies. Once your claim has been filed and we have inspected the vehicle, we can communicate directly with your insurer to help simplify the repair process.
Yes. We can provide the necessary documentation, answer repair-related questions and communicate with your adjuster throughout the claim. Our goal is to handle as much of the process as possible so you don’t have to act as the middleman.
An insurance company’s initial estimate may not include damage that becomes apparent during Dent Menders’ detailed inspection. When additional covered damage is identified, we will document it and work with the insurer through the supplemental-estimate process before completing the additional work.
Yes. Insurance companies may recommend shops within their preferred networks, but you are generally free to choose the repair facility you trust. Let your insurer know that you would like Dent Menders to complete your hail damage repair.
In most cases, yes. Your deductible is determined by your insurance policy and is generally the portion of the covered repair cost you are responsible for paying. Your insurance company can confirm the amount, and we’ll make sure you understand what is due before the repair is completed.
Yes. If rental coverage is included in your insurance policy, Dent Menders can work with your insurer to help arrange a rental reservation while your vehicle is being repaired. Any rental charges not covered by your policy remain the vehicle owner’s responsibility.
A hail-damaged vehicle is typically in our shop for approximately two weeks, give or take. The timeline depends on the extent of the damage, insurance approval, shop scheduling and rental-vehicle availability. We’ll keep you informed if the expected completion date changes.
Many hail-damaged vehicles can be restored entirely with PDR when the paint remains intact and the affected panels are repairable. We must inspect the vehicle in person to determine how much of the damage qualifies.
If a panel has cracked paint, severe metal stretching or damage that cannot be accessed or safely reshaped, conventional bodywork or painting may be necessary. Because Dent Menders does not currently perform traditional body or paint work, we’ll clearly explain which areas are not suitable for PDR so you can make an informed decision.
Repair Process & Timing
A small door ding may take less than an hour, while multiple dents or more complex damage may require several hours or longer. Many minor repairs can be completed the same day. Hail damage and extensive repairs require additional time.
We’ll review the damage and approved estimate with you before beginning. Our technicians will then complete the repair, carefully inspect the finished panels and contact you when the vehicle is ready. For insurance repairs, we’ll also manage the necessary communication and documentation with your insurer.
That depends on the repair. You may be able to wait for a small repair, while larger dents, multiple damaged panels or insurance-related repairs will require leaving the vehicle with us. We’ll explain what to expect when your repair is scheduled.
Waiting may be possible for certain short repairs, but please confirm with us in advance. The amount of time needed can change once the technician has full access to the damaged area, so some repairs are better handled by dropping off the vehicle.
A member of our team will contact you when the repair is complete and your vehicle has passed its final inspection. We’ll also let you know if anything affects the original completion estimate.
We’ll contact you before completing work that was not included in the original estimate. If the repair involves insurance, we’ll document the additional damage and communicate with your insurer about any necessary supplement or approval.
Pricing, Payment & Discounts
PDR pricing varies because every dent is different. Dent Menders does not use one-size-fits-all pricing or provide final estimates from photos. Bring your vehicle to our shop for a free inspection and an accurate estimate based on its specific damage.
Pricing is based on the dent’s size, depth, location and complexity; the number of dents; the panel material; access to the damaged area; and whether the dent crosses a body line. Paint condition, previous repairs and the amount of disassembly required can also affect the cost.
Dent Menders accepts cash, check, Mastercard and Visa. For covered insurance repairs, your insurer will pay its approved portion and you will be responsible for the applicable deductible and any non-covered charges.
Yes. Dent Menders offers a 10% discount to eligible active-duty military members, veterans and first responders. Please mention the discount when scheduling and bring appropriate identification. Some restrictions may apply, and discounts may not be combined with other offers.
Warranty & Repair Results
Yes. Dent Menders stands behind its repairs and workmanship with a lifetime warranty. If you have a concern related to the work we performed, contact us so we can inspect it and determine the appropriate solution.
Many dents can be restored so well that the previous damage is no longer visible. However, the final result depends on the dent’s depth and location, the amount of metal stretching, the condition of the paint and any previous damage or repair. We’ll set honest expectations before beginning the work.
PDR is specifically designed to preserve the factory finish. When the paint is intact and the damage is suitable for PDR, the process does not require sanding, body filler or repainting.
Yes. Because PDR retains the vehicle’s original paint and avoids unnecessary refinishing, it can help protect resale and trade-in value. It is also a useful option for correcting dents before a lease return or vehicle sale.

We serve vehicle owners throughout Omaha and the surrounding eastern Nebraska and western Iowa communities, including Bellevue, Papillion, La Vista, Gretna, Elkhorn, Council Bluffs, Fremont, Blair and nearby areas. Customers are welcome to bring their vehicles to our Omaha shop regardless of where they live.
